PeopleAtlas Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
What we access
With your permission, PeopleAtlas reads your phone contacts (names, addresses and phone numbers) to show them on a map, and your location while the app is open to show your own position and nearby contacts.
Where it stays
Your contacts and tags are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our servers, and we never sell or share them. Phone numbers are used only on your device: when a contact has no saved address, the country code of their number is used to place them approximately in that country's capital. To place an address on the map, the address is sent to Apple's geocoding service, which is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Your location never leaves your device except to Apple's geocoding service, only to determine your city and country.
Usage analytics
We may collect anonymous usage events (for example "map opened") tied to a random ID. These never include contact names, numbers, or addresses.
Sharing
Invites go out only when you tap Share. They contain a country and a count, never your contacts' names.
Children
PeopleAtlas is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your control
You can revoke Contacts or Location access in iOS Settings at any time. Deleting the app deletes all of its data.
